Can you describe your company and your role within it?
2KERR Mobility is an importer and distributor of mobility aids, specializing in wheelchairs with balance technology. This technique, known from the Segway, enables users to ride on two wheels without active steering. This provides more freedom and an enjoyable driving experience. I founded the company in 2017 and am still the owner and director of 2KERR Mobility.

We introduced a new product for which we needed a new rim design. Additionally, the lead time was limited, so we needed a partner who could think along with us and respond quickly.
b. How did this impact your production, vehicles, or end customers?
The modern look of our product is essential, and the rims play a significant role in this. Our products have unique technical specifications and dimensions, making standard solutions insufficient and requiring custom rims.

We briefly considered aluminum rim manufacturers, but these were mainly from Asia and did not meet our requirements.

We had already been using a standard solution from Vlukon, so we were existing customers.

The collaboration was pleasant, and no significant obstacles arose.

The rims have yet to be applied on a large scale, but the initial impression is that they are very stable and robust.
b. Are there measurable performance improvements or other positive outcomes you can share?
Not yet.
c. How have Vlukon’s rims contributed to achieving your business goals or customer satisfaction?
The rims were delivered on time for an important international trade fair, where the new product was successfully launched. This was the primary objective so far.
a. Are there aspects of the rim or process that you would like to improve in the future?
The weight of the rims turned out to be too high, and improvements are currently being sought. This aspect should have been identified earlier in the development phase.
b. Do you see opportunities for further collaboration or other product developments with Vlukon?
I see no issues with working with Vlukon again on a new product in the future.
c. Would you recommend Vlukon to other companies in your network? Why or why not?
